About Bay Area Tax Prep
Akem Bahia is a California Registered Tax Preparer and the founder of Bay Area Tax Prep, with over seven years of accounting experience serving corporate and not-for-profit organizations. His background includes full-cycle accounting, cash management, payroll and investment funding, tax compliance, and month-end close.
He has managed general ledgers, processed payroll taxes and benefits, supported regulatory filings, and worked extensively with QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite, ADP, and secure client portals. Akem holds a degree from UC Santa Cruz and has completed continuing education coursework at UC Davis.
He founded Bay Area Tax Prep to deliver clear, accurate, and transparent tax and accounting services that help the Bay Area community make confident financial decisions.
